What is Kizomba dance?
Kizomba is a slow, sensual partnered dance style originating in Angola, danced in a close embrace position. It blends Angolan folk traditions with Caribbean zouk and dancehall.
Do I need to come with a partner?
While partner work is central, no partner is absolutely required as we’ll be rotating leads and follows. But bringing a friend can make it more fun!
What if I have no partner dance experience?
No prior experience is needed – we’ll cover all the basics of leading, following, connecting, and musical interpretation for beginners.
Is Kizomba a romantic/social dance style?
Yes, Kizomba developed as a dance of playful courtship. Expect plenty of partner work with romantic choreography and a fun yet seductive atmosphere
What kind of music will we dance to?
